Remote sensing must meet field evidence

Earth observation can show patterns in extent, greenness, moisture and productivity, but these indicators require careful interpretation. Field evidence is needed to explain species composition, hydrology, disturbance, planting survival and community use.

The framework therefore treats satellite monitoring as part of a wider evidence system rather than a substitute for ecological validation.

From baseline to stewardship

The proposed service architecture includes baseline assessment, restoration-site intelligence, monitoring dashboards, Blue Carbon MRV readiness and community stewardship systems.

Each service combines data processing, interpretation, evidence organisation, field design and decision support.
