Capital works better when it can see environmental risk
Coastal investment often lacks the local environmental intelligence needed to understand when, where and how an activity can succeed. At the same time, scientific products may remain too detached from financing and operational decisions.
Climate intelligence infrastructure closes that gap by translating environmental data into decision-ready evidence, then learning from activity and outcomes.

Evidence must reach the point of action
Earth observation, ocean models, field measurements and community knowledge create the evidence base. Advisory systems translate that evidence into practical guidance. Reporting creates feedback, while capital mechanisms can use the improved information to make more responsible decisions.
This is infrastructure because it supports repeated decisions across users and sectors—not a one-time analysis.
A replicable model
Built for coastlines beyond one pilot
The implementation pattern is deliberately modular: configure data, localise decision rules, validate in the field, deploy the service and measure outcomes. Different places can reuse the architecture while retaining their own ecology, institutions and community knowledge.
TerraVerge’s ambition is to build this capability from Africa and apply it wherever better environmental intelligence can protect nature, strengthen livelihoods and safeguard lives.
